United Sates Colt 1911 side arm M1916 Holster. Marker marked on back: A.L.P. Co (Atchison Leather Products Co.). Relatively scarce maker. Embossed “US” on front flap. Most likely ww2 era. This holster does not have the stud to hold the flap down. Average worn and used condition. Additional Notes: The United States Colt 1911 M1916 Holster is a classic piece of military gear from WW1 and WW2. This heavy leather holster was designed to carry the Colt 1911 .45 caliber sidearm and was standard issue for U.S. troops.
